Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrival in Casablanca – Rabat

The tour will start in Casablanca, the most important metropolis in the country. In case you arrive early and you are not tired, we can start by visiting the fascinating Hassan II Mosque. Then we leave for Rabat and start exploring its main monuments including the Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum, and Challah Kasbah.

Day 2 Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes

If we didn´t get the chance to discover Rabat’s fascinating wonders on the previous day, we can do it in the morning before continuing towards Meknes, where we will stop to get a picture of the stunning Bab Mansour el-Aleuj (Gate of the Victorious Renegade) and visit the Granaries and Royal Stables where Moulay Ismail used to stock his 20 000 horses. Afterward, we go back in time to the 3rd century to the Roman city of Volubilis, a UNESCO world heritage site. During the 60 minutes tour, you will see the house of Orpheus, Decumanus Maximus and Triumphal Arch, the house of Dinysus, and the house of Dionysus. Overnight in Fes.

Day 3 Fes Guided Tour

Today, side by side with your local born and bred Fes guide you will ride on a time machine and let Fes´ labyrinthine streets take you back in time. Fes which was considered Mecca of the west and Athena of Africa comprises three Districts: Ville Nouvelle, the newest part of town built during the French protectorate. Fes-Jdid or New Fes, domestic to the Royal Palace and Jewish Quarter. Fes El Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site founded in the 9th century and is home to the world’s oldest university, The University of Al-Karaouine, founded in 859 which is still operating to this day. Your tour will include: – Gateway of the Royal Palace and the Jewish Quarter – Pottery and Tiles complex – The Tanneries – Medina of Fez with its “souks” (markets), – Bou Inania Medersa and Al-Karaouine university

Day 4 Fes – Ifrane – Bin El Ouidan

After breakfast in Fes, we depart for Bin El Ouidan (between the rivers in Arabic) via Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland” due to its affinity to a Swiss Alpine resort to take some photos and stretch legs. Before continuing through the Middle Atlas and various Berber villages and towns to get to our Hotel in Bin El Ouidan overlooking a fascinating lake for the night.

Day 5 Bin El Ouidan – Ouzoud Waterfalls – Marrakech

From one great place to another, we leave the beautiful Bin El Ouidan to discover Ouzoud Waterfalls. Enjoy a 1-hour hike alongside your mountain guide exploring the area and its wildlife such as the Barbary Macaque Apes, and savor lunch in a restaurant overlooking the fantastic waterfalls before arriving at Marrakech early afternoon.

Day 6 Marrakech Guided Tour

Alongside your local guide, today we will discover the mysteries of “The Red City” of Marrakech. During our visit, we will see the 12th century Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, The Bahia Palace, and get lost in the narrow streets and alleyways of the Medina with its colorful Souks and skilled Artisans. Wrap up your visit to Marrakech in Djamaa El Fna Square, an open-air theater and restaurant active with its storytellers, performers, snake charmers, water seller, and food carts.

Day 7 Marrakech Day Trip To Atlas Mountain

On this day, you can either choose to have a free day in Marrakech or enjoy a day trip to Imlil village if you want to be more active, where you will experience a 40-minute mule ride towards the Berber village of Aroumd (1843 m/ 6046 feet). Relish a locally made lunch before we hike back to Imlil village and return to Marrakech for the night.

Day 8 Marrakech – Casablanca

After breakfast in Marrakech, we set off to Casablanca where we can visit the Hassan II mosque if we didn´t have the opportunity to do it on Day 1. We can arrange lunch at the famous Rick´s Cafe if you are interested before we drop you off at your hotel, just 6 kilometers (4 miles) from the airport.

Day 9 Departure Day

Unfortunately, our journey has come to an end, hopefully with lots of stories and memories. we will arrange a private transfer to the airport according to your flight details.

Unfortunately, that is not possible. Our private desert tours are solely reserved for the party booking one. The price per person depends on how many participants in your private party.

The distance between Marrakech and Fes is 520 Km via the motorway through Casablanca and Rabat. If you choose to drive via the Middle Atlas Mountains and Beni Mellal , the distance is 570 Km. The drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains is more scenic, but you need to spare a full day to enjoy the itinerary. There is an even longer and more popular way to get to Fes from Marrakech: Through Merzouga and the Moroccan Sahara desert. It is 1030 Km, and it requires a minimum of 3 days.

You mainly need 2 days in Fes Morocco in order to fully explore it. A full-day guided tour of the Medina of Fes will introduce you to discover the hidden gems of the ancient Medina, and an extra day to explore the Souks on your own. Now, with the nearby blue city of Chefchaouen becoming more and more popular, you could add an extra day to do a full day trip of Chefchaouen from Fes ( 200 Km each way )

Fes is considered the Athens of Morocco: It is the oldest Medina in Morocco. It is also the intellectual, cultural, craftsmanship, and culinary capital of Morocco. Its narrow streets and centuries-old Medina is amazing. Fes is heaven for historians, archaeologists, and intellectuals from all over the world. The oldest university in the world ( Al Quaraouiyine) is located in the center of Medina. Fes used to be the capital of various Moroccan dynasties who ruled North Africa, actual Spain, and sub-Saharan Africa all the way to the Niger River and Sudan for centuries.
