Day 1 Fes - Ifran - Medilt - Merzouga

Your journey will begin with a pick-up from your accommodation in Fez at 8:00. The ride will take you through the fascination of the Middle Atlas, passing by Ifrane, a winter ski resort in an un-Moroccan style built by the French, resembling a Swiss village. Then, you will stop at the cedars forest in Azrou to enjoy nature and feed the monkeys.

Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, springs, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and descend toward the Sahara Desert. Halfway, you will stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks; then, we will continue towards Merzouga on the Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour road. We will stop for panoramic views to see the vast Palm Trees oasis.

We reach Merzouga in the afternoon, depending on your arrival, at the traditional Kasbah at the foot of the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Day 3 Ouarzazate - Ait ben Haddou - Marrakech

On the last day of the journey, after breakfast, visit the town of Ouarzazate and its monuments, including the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios movie studios, the largest and most famous in all of Africa.

From here, we head to the Fint Oasis, near Ouarzazate. We check in at Ait Ben Haddou to have lunch. Then, visit the famous Kasbah, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site and the scene of films like The Gladiator, Babel, and Lawrence of Arabia. We continue, passing through the High Atlas and the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, along a road that climbs from the plains up to 2260 m above sea level, passing through small villages, small waterfalls, and the continuously changing landscape and colors of these beautiful mountains. How Far Is Fez From Marrakech?

The distance between Marrakech and Fes is 520 Km via the motorway through Casablanca and Rabat. If you choose to drive via the Middle Atlas Mountains and Beni Mellal , the distance is 570 Km. The drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains is more scenic, but you need to spare a full day to enjoy the itinerary. There is an even longer and more popular way to get to Fes from Marrakech: Through Merzouga and the Moroccan Sahara desert. It is 1030 Km, and it requires a minimum of 3 days.
